Crushed Rock Production Line

There is increasing demand to optimise yield and increase capacity of crushed rock crushing plants. Research in this area has resulted in the development of numerous optimisation tools, and resent research has shown that the quality aspects of production have great influence on the optimisation results. The quality and capacity of a product is influenced by several parameters, and in order to control all these parameters it is necessary to use some sort of optimisation software. In this paper, a novel approach to analyse parameters influence on product capacity and quality is presented. As an example a cone crusher and a vertical shaft impact crusher (VSI) is simulated in a tertiary stage. The simulation shows how capacity and product quality for a range of products will be affected when a parameter is changed. The paper also shows how wear will affect product capacity and quality.

Crushed rock production line from BinQ Machinery is designed for construction aggregate production. The crushing and screening plant can produce crushed rock of all classed and a wide range of specification.

Angular crushed stone is the key material for macadam road construction. Crushed rock is suitable for base and sub-base applications, shouldering, hard-stands, foundations, and unsealed road re-sheets. Crushed natural stone is also used similarly without a binder for riprap, railroad track ballast, and filter stone. It may also be used with a binder in a composite material such as concrete, tarmac, or asphalt concrete.

Crushed rock sizes

The usual sizes for crushed stones are 0 – ¾ inches and ¼ to ¾ inches. The smaller sizes are known as ¾ minus and range anywhere from ¾ inches to very fine powder. Also known as fines, these are usually to be used as fill in and need to be sufficiently watered down until which they lead to dusty conditions. The bigger sizes are available in ¼ – ¾ inches and are relatively devoid of dust but require quite an effort to pack down. Another benefit of having crushed rock driveways is that they do not develop cracks as commonly found with concrete driveways. For a beautiful looking and smooth functioning driveway, it is very important to prepare the ground carefully.

Crushed rock crushing equipment
