Silver Mining Process Equipment

Silver is often extracted from ore by smelting or chemical leaching. Ore treatment by mercury amalgamation, such as in the patio process or pan amalgamation was widely used with the 1800s, but is seldom used today.

Silver is also produced during the electrolytic refining of copper by application of the Parkes process on lead metal obtained from lead ores that contain small quantities of silver. Commercial grade fine silver reaches least 99.9 percent pure silver and purities greater than 99.999 percent can be found.

Silver Mining Process

silver mining process plantAt the top, the ore is subjected to additional crushing and fine grinding. A flotation process can be used to split up the silver-bearing galena from the waste rock particles (tailings) to form a concentrate. Development of the flotation process took place the first times of mining at Broken Hill. Today, more efficient versions of this technology are utilized world-wide. Many mines nationwide and overseas use the improved Jameson flotation cell, which also was developed in Australia.

Within this process, ground-up ore, water and special chemicals are mixed together and constantly agitated in banks of flotation cells. Air is blown through the mixture in each cell and fine silver bearing galena particles keep to the bubbles, which rise to form froth at first glance from the cell. The tailings sink towards the bottom of the cell and are removed. The froth is skimmed off and also the resulting silver-lead sulphide concentrate may assay 800 grams to one kilogram of silver per tonne of concentrate.

Silver Ore Crushers

When going through the silver, we must take into account the actual geographical conditions. And if the open or indoor exploration, the large-scale automatic mining equipment should be used. And also the mining machinery equipment is mainly composed of the computer monitor, dust-free equipment, silver crushing plant, wind flow equipment, ball mill, classifying equipment.

Among all of the silver exploration equipment, BinQ Machinery can offer customers with trustworthy high-quality silver crushers as well as satisfactory service. The most popular silver crushers are: Symons cone crusher, PE jaw crusher, JC jaw crusher, PFW impact crusher, etc. Our Symons cone crusher is strongly recommended, because it is widely used for silver ore crushing and other rock ore crushing. Additionally, we also suggest you attempt our new mobile crushing plant, that is finally designed through adopting the most recent advanced technology, because it is more flexible and can provide you with more convenience.
