Continuous ball mill
Continuous Ball Mill is useful for grinding coarse feed to obtain fine powder in single continuous operation. It’s for grinding Ceramics, Cement, Pencil, Paint, Chemical, Ink, Marble, Coal, minerals etc.
Within the continuous type Ball Mill the material is being fed from the one finish via its hollow shaft, while the crushed material comes out from the hollow shaft, at the other finish. Usually continuous Mills are utilized when the production rate is required to be high.
Continuous ball mills are utilized wherein the finished item is obtained from a single pass via the mill. This type of operation produces a wide particle size distribution with a high proportion of superfines in the product.
Continuous ball mills need cautious choice of length/diameter ratio of the mill to ensure correct residence time and product fineness.
These are created for continuous operations and produces a fairly coarse item with minimum generation of superfines.
Description
- The grinding chamber is formed from perforated grinding plates bolted to shaft mounted finish plates fitted with liners.
- The chamber is totally surrounded by two concentric sets of perforated screens.
- The chamber consists of a steel ball charge.
- Ground material passes through the perforated grinding plates onto the inner screen surface. Material then passes through this screen continuing to the outer screen which controls the final product size.
- Oversize (or semi-ground) material retained on every screen is returned towards the grinding chamber through a series of return plates.
- Product is collected within a surrounding dust-tight casing with integrated discharge hopper.
