Ball mill or ball grinder , can be a cylindrical device used in grinding (or mixing) materials like ores , chemicals, ceramic garbage and paints. It may used in gold mining as well as other ore mining.
Ball mill is made up of feedisng part, discharging part, gyre part, transmission part, (decelerator, small transmission gear, generator, electrical control) etc. The hollow axis adopts the cast steel as well as the lining can replace, the rotating big gear processes in the form of casting rolling gear. Gold Mining Project
The project is around the island of Masbate, about 350km south of the Philippines capital, Manila. CGA acquired the mine in March 2007 and owns it indirectly through its 100% ownership of Philippine Gold Ltd, 40% of Filminera and 100% of Philippine Gold Processing & Refining Corp (PGPRC).
Geology
The Masbate gold deposits are centred over a northwest-to-southeast mineralised volcanic belt, 5¡§C7km wide, which is bounded by two northwest-trending fault zones, the Pinanaan Fault towards the east and the Malubi-Lanang-Balete Fault to the west. The volcanic belt occurs over the western flank of the earlier diorite intrusive. Gold is associated with the volcanic belt while copper is reported to happen inside diorite intrusive.
The key host rock towards the gold mineralisation is really a fractured andesitic-dacitic, tuffaceous agglomerate. Mineralisation happens in quartz veins within the agglomerate, as well as within associated altered and quartz stockworked wall rocks and breccias. The gold is generally finely distributed, with a suggested grain size of 5¡§C20 microns.
Gold Mine Process
The process plant is a conventional carbon-in-leach (CIL) type facility consisting of primary crushing, two-stage grinding, leaching, adsorption and thickening process stages; elution, electrowinning and smelting gold recovery stages; along with a cyanide detoxification stage treating process plant tails before disposal inside a new tailings storage facility, being built 3km in the plant.
